the Kamrup District, Criminal Courts are situated in
different complexes viz
1. Chief Judicial Magistrate Court , Kachari,
Guwahati. [near by DC Court]
2. Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate Court, Rangia.
3. Judicial Magistrate 1st class Court, Hajo.
4. Various courts of District & Sessions Judge

Brief
description about the organization, functioning of
the organization and its jurisdiction:
1.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Kamrup, Guwahati
The
organization deals with criminal trial of cases
being Judicial Courts. Trial of criminal cases is
the function of this organization. The Jurisdiction
of the courts extended to the whole of the Kamrup
District.
2.
Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate Court,
Rangia
The
court of the Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate,
Rangia, is situated at Chirakhundi of Rangia
Sub-Division, which is about 2 & half K.M. away
from the Rangia Town, under the Kamrup District and
functioning independently. There are six(6) Numbers
of Police Stations and five(5) numbers of out posts
under the jurisdiction of this court and they are:
i) Rangia G.R.P.S.
ii) Rangia P.S. containing out posts at Tulsibari
and Dobok.
iii) Kamalpur P.S. containing out posts at Changsari
and Gauripur(North Guwahati)
iv) Baihata Chariali P.S.
v) Goreswar P.S. containing out post at Suwagpur.
vi) Kaya P.S.
All
the cases pertaining to above six Police Stations
are being dealt by the Court of the Sub-Divisional
Judicial Magistrate, Rangia.
3. Judicial Magistrate 1st class Court,
Hajo
Trial
of criminal cases are held in the Court of Judicial
Magistrate, 1st Class, Hajo. The Jurisdiction of
this court includes three police stations i.e.
i) Hajo P.S.
ii) Sualkuchi P.S.
iii) Sualkuchi River P.S.
