Brief description about the organization, functioning of the organization and its jurisdiction:

The family court is established U/S 3 of the Family Court Act, 1984 on 21^st  March 1992 and the Family Court is functioning within the territorial jurisdiction of Kamrup District till date. The family court is exercised its jurisdiction U/S 7 (a to g) of the Act in respect of the suits and cases, under criminal procedure code, and marriage Acts, within the territorial jurisdiction.
