Brief description about the organization, functioning of the organization and its jurisdiction:

The family court is established U/S 3 of the Family Court Act, 1984 on 21st  March 1992 and the Family Court is functioning within the territorial jurisdiction of Kamrup District till date. The family court is exercised its jurisdiction U/S 7 (a to g) of the Act in respect of the suits and cases, under criminal procedure code, and marriage Acts, within the territorial jurisdiction.
